History
COMPANY
- STM was born in 1968 as individual company grounded by Remo Manganelli. In 1979 was constituted the family company that nowadays is controlled by Stefania Manganelli and Franco Barella and started the actual plant building.
- Further enlargements
in terms of market share and customer numbers occurred, thus in 1995
was build up a second production unit nearby the original plant. This
led STM to become an European first and International after, Automotive
T2 supplier.
- These
new production brought to new equipments, processes and services
(quality assurance- logistic- administration) in order to match all the
customer requirements.
- A particular care has been dedicated to the development of people skills and knowledge.
- From
January 2011 the company STM srl has changed the business name into
“STM spa”. This change allowed a more stable business in eventful times
and it’s a synonym of a great trust in future.
- From
2014 STMspa acquired the machining operation department of Danfoss
Group that produce finished gears and aluminum bodies. This department
have 2 production locations, one in Italy where all machinery have been
installed at STMspa Zibello ITALY and the other at Povaszka Bystrica
SLOVAKIA, where has been established a new company STMs.r.o. (owner of
this company are Franco Barella, Stefania Manganelli and Luca Illica
members of STMspa board).
- The reasons of this strategic choice are: new customer, new market opportunities, new technologies nearest to the global market demand and have a footprint in Eastern Europe to be near to customers localization .
